I was told that they opened up 87 franchise's this year alone, if that's true, I would say that would make them #1. I found one outside of Atlanta and ate there, and the comments on here were right. Very dry brisket, dry chicken breast and the brunswick stew had no flavor except for old meat. They were already out of ribs and most of their side items.
It reminded me of a subway gone BBQ inside. I like the concept, but the food just wasn't a hit to me. I talked to the owner and she told me how great Dickey's was to work with and that she is probably going to open up another Dickey's soon.
I hope it works for her, but losing my creativity just isn't worth the risk. That food would never fly as true BBQ and that's what I want to stay true too.
