Most Bbq at contests is "Good" food. Baring the occasional screw up that you had to turn in anyway. A 6 is Good Que. A 9 is exceptional Que. My point is, maybe we narrowed a 1 - 9 scale down to far when someone is trying to put a number on it. Maybe we should have decimals, like the olympics. A 7.3 is different then a 7.8. Our current scale is dwindled down to like 3 numbers. And it sounds like there is a huge "Implied difference" between them.
