When I TC that is what I try to do after every turn in is done and the score cards turned in to me. If every TC would do so I think it would help everyone, mostly the newer judges. TC's could be a great tool to help all judges do a better job.
Believe it or not as, judges, we want the best entry to win.
Let me say this, I just don't think there is as big a problem as so many think there is. I can only recall a couple of times when I felt a judge was way out of line from the scores of the rest of the judges at my tables. After the cards were turned in I talked to the judges to try to understand what their thinking was. I never called them out in front of the rest of the table but I did question them as to why they may have scored so differently. Every time it had to do with taste. As we all should know everyone does have the same tastes and that is where most of the differences are from what I see at the comps I judge and TC.
