The standard 30 minute spacing on turn-ins is challenging for cooks and "adequate" for judges. On those judging occasions where my table is served last or close to last, there really isn't much of a gap in the action and that's when I feel rushed concerning comment cards (in which I am a believer).
A reasonable compromise might be to start turn-ins at 11:30 with 45 minute spacing. This would provide plenty of reflection and comment time plus give Reps a few more minutes at the end.
