The size of the trailer isn't that significant - what really matters is the weight of the *fully loaded* rig. A dual standard axle cargo trailer can reach 7,000 lbs (more when overloaded) when you fill it up with heavy cookers, coolers, etc.

Such a load could be more than your Ram 1500 can handle, depending on the motor and transmission installed. Remember that everything in the truck counts when calculating the total load - including passengers and fuel weight. Performance mods can help you get more pulling power out of your truck, but don't forget you have to stop that heavy load too!
