Southern Pride and Ole Hickory makes gas/wood hybrid convection smokers that do this. Cookshack's FEC line does this with wood pellets. For a lower cost solution, you can add a BBQ Guru or Stoker fan controller to just about any charcoal-fired smoker.

All require a reliable source of electricity to power the temperature control circuitry.
