I have a superior ss2 that i'm using a guru on. Guru is set to about 1/3 open to maintain 225-250 temp range. Seems like having the 4" smokestack wide open just lets out to more heat than it needs to. I also have a large bge that I use the guru on and the daisy wheel just gets cracked open a little bit, which got me to thinking if the superior would run even more efficient and steady if the stack was shut down some. I was thinking about just putting the bge daisy wheel on it to try it out. Anybody tried this or have any thoughts?
