To all WSM owners that have either a Stoker or Guru connected to them.

Okay, the WSM is solid and can hold the temp well... yet, you buy a Stoker or Guru to make sure the temps stay where you want them?
Other than that (consistant temps) does the Stoker/Guru offer anything else?

I don't use either but I know a lot of competitors choose to use them and I'm not sure why. Surely you can keep a solid temp on the WSM so I'm missing the other advantages... what are they?
