On a more serious note, since Texas is virtually under a burn ban throughout the entire state, why are there still contests going on? I would think that sanctioning bodies would be first in line to support the burn bans and cancel all contests. Perhaps they understand that with due diligence it is still very very safe to BBQ even during a burn ban.

Has anyone here on the forum ever competed in an area under a burn ban? Inquiring minds, or mindless, want to know.
