Another question is "who are you to post?". It would seem to me that an open forum is just that, a common place where people respectfully share ideas,opinions etc.
As for someone not having any "creds" because they're new well, everyone is new on this board at some point, no "history" on here until they start posting right? Just because someone (new or old) posts a question that may be uncomfortable, inconvenient or contrary to someone's objectives or ideas of what is going on does not, on it's face, make it muck raking, stirring the pot or a lie to be attacked.
If a particular post really offends someone I'd think you'd either refute it with a good argument or if it's really bothering then just ignore it and it'll drop wayyy down the page very soon.
I do believe BBQ is a big family, dysfunctional at times with personality issues, money/greed issues and a whole bunch of different opinions not one any more or less of value than the other.
What will (in my opinion) kill this off eventually is lack of respect for the differences in people and their right to see things differently and state that position.
