In my mind, Jarrod is a team member of Bub-Ba-Q so no foul. Don't blame you a bit for being pizzed, Bubba.

Some people are overly concerned with the idea that this has all gotten to be about the money and not family, friendship and fun. As has been mentioned, for 90% of competition barbecue people, it still is and will always be about those things. Is it really a problem that 10% DO look at it as business, marketing for their business or want to chase points? When I go cook a contest or go around the one I organize and visit people, the guys out to have fun are doing that. No one is upset that there's a few guys over in another section of the park who aren't socializing much because they're focused on competing. It really can be both. What the Board must always remember is that while they're making it bigger and better for the people who are enticed by points, cash and prizes, the have to show just as much love to the smaller contests and smaller teams that cook a handful of contests each year so that they can continue to do what they enjoy simply for the sake of enjoying it.
