First off, we don't do enough contest to even be in the running for TOY. But putting my $0.02 worth in anyway.
We don't have a head cook. Jim and I do the cooking and it's split in half. Jim and I sign up for the contests with an even money split. The ones he pays for, he's "head cook". The ones I pay for, I'm "head cook". For that contest, we deal with the space issues, electricity, water, etc.. We have each cooked contest without the other half - and done fairly well. We may do so again sometime in the future. It's still Mad Hogs and an Englishman - even without the Englishman.
I think the TOY has turned into the team that can cook the most contests instead of the team who has the best scores overall. TOY should to be an average - not accummulative of the most. It would be interesting to see who would be on top if an average was used. Probably the same top 20 but in the same order?
