I do get the full picture, though. I understand that some people want to be TOTY simply because they're driven to win. I get that. And some have businesses to promote. We've been there. I remember more than a few teams who had vicious competitive streaks back before there was even any money to win or products to sell. That isnít why we cook, but the fact that our team isn't interested in TOTY doesn't mean we don't understand why people do it.
Bubba not only did not break any rules, it was a friend and colleague he had cooking for him. Hardly a "ringer" in my book. But it's ultimately not anyone else's business who Bub-Ba-Q adds to their team anyway. The KCBS doesnít get to tell teams who can cook for them. If you donít like that rule, I see three options: 1. Get the rule changed, 2. Stop competing, or 3. Cook better. I recommend #3 for most of the issues that teams bring up after losing. But, as was so eloquently pointed out, no one cares what a last-place team like Gremlin Grill thinks.
