Quote -We would propose (reviewed and approved annually by the KCBS BOD) as a budget line item, for expenses that may be incurred (For example-possible costs for translation of any of our judge’s training and organizer manuals or costs for shipping the US rubs and sauces needed for classes).

We will account for all expenditures and work toward a permanent budget. End of quote.

Sounds like to me that there will be expenses. Expenditures....budget.... think those words mean that money will be spent. As an accountant I'm pretty well familiar with the terminology.

Direct questions: Are the ones training judges (the Lohmans and the Gages) paying their own way or are those travel expenses being paid by KCBS?

And isn't this a conflict of interest for Wayne Lohman? I'm sorry but he should have abstained as his name was part of the plan. And I'm pretty sure I know what conflict of interest means also.

Candy, what the membership is angry about is this should have been opened up to the membership to find THE BEST people to teach to cook. We all feel we have had a slap in the face by the board for picking someone with 6 contest under their belts.
