The problem you will most likely run into is being called out for giving that 2-3-4 when the rest of the table is going by the "5-6" method. Several times I've gotten a piece of meat heavily over smoked or creosote tasting which I call "jet fuel" because that's what the taste/smell reminds me of (I used to haul it btw).
Now that I go along this train of thought, if one judge has scored low, say 2/3/4 and the rest have scored 5/6+ is this low scoring judge to be discounted or called out for his scoring? What if he's the one actually scoring by the rules as written and the others are doing the upscore for effort thing?
Get called out enough and either you're going to quit scoring honestly and the way you see it or do forced retraining (re-education camps come to mind :-) ) or get banned from judging altogether and face a lynch mob of cooks... (just kidding on the last part.. or am I?)
