thats a good price on fresh. But as far as brining and overall quality, when you cook in bulk and have 5 kids and a day job, I'm not gonna pay more for fresh AND have to brine dozens of birds so I can make some sort of bbq snob statement (I'm not saying you are). I'll do a taste test on that any day. And if I can save 40cents/lb on a couple hundred pounds.... well you get my point.
Then again, I'm a very small biz. if I had a staff and helpers maybe I'd be more of a purist since I would have to do everything!
