I agree, we need a change. However, nobody ran for the BOD that comes even close to my views as a cooker in the deep south. We need some fresh ideas that are not tied to the past. As of now, regional representation is just talk. The BOD continues to micromanage its affairs and approve too many rules and special cases. Small contests are under increasing money pressure. I participated in the KCBS election by voting on just the ballot questions. I did not vote for any BOD candidate. I am advising all of my KCBS friends to do the same. It is sad to say that this is the only way we can voice our disapproval. We did not have the ballot option for "none of the above". This election was more of the case that the least of the evil was to not vote for any candidate. I wish I could be a candidate. My job does not allow me to run for the BOD. Honestly, I don't think I could ever win. We need to nominate more qualified candidates from all over the KCBS-world.
