Sir, you are quite correct. For centuries candidates got info any way they could EXCEPT a couple of ways.
Let me lay this scenario out and see what y'all think. Let's say it's election time, the president or his cabinet decides they want to reach as many voters as they can but don't have a personal phone book big enough. So they have this great idea, they get one or two of their friends over at the IRS to send over the unlisted phone numbers that've been collected over the years of anyone that's ever contacted them (on tax issues) so they can robo call them.
Personally I wouldn't be too happy about this, one reason is unless all the presidential candidates have this access it isn't right, the second, I didn't ask a question of the IRS expecting my information to be disseminated to others for their personal gain and lastly, it is illegal for the government to do that.
Yeah, on the scale of big deals it's not so high up there but it kind of ticked off my family as they're not very happy with KCBS right now and to me at least it just shows another issue where my communication with the board was again used for one BOD members personal purposes/gain and not KCBS as an organization or for KCBS business.
