On the Food Network, Alton Brown's "Good Eats" created a smoker out of a largish cardboard box, a hot plate and a skillet/pan full of smoking saw dust. Probably can't get any cheaper, or creative, than that. It's searchable at Foodnetwork.com. Good Q'en On Ya'. John
