Mandalay Bay is a great hotel to stay at. If Looking for something close to the competition, I would check Luxor, Excalibur. these two hotels are connected by a train that runs between Mandalay Bay and the other two. Very easy to catch from either hotel. The other hotel next to Mandalay Bay is the Four Seasons. Another option would be to catch the train at Mandalay Bay, take to to Excalibur and the walk on the walk way over to New York, New York. Overall the trip should take less than 10 minutes once you board the tram. As you can tell, I visit Vegas two or three times a year but always stay at Mandalay Bay. Good Luck!
