I went through 3 cheap Tilia brand Food Savers in the course 10 years. I am sick of them and convinced they are carp. Weak vacuum, problems getting a seal, and the pump(s) go out.

Finally got a Weston Pro and it has lasted 3 years now and shows no signs of problems. The body is actually made of STEEL and has a 1/2 inch thick acrylic top. Heavy duty fan-cooled motor, twice the vacuum power, etc., etc.
