St. Elmos is pretty over-rated IMHO. At the airport there is a harry and izzy's (owned by the same people) where you can get the famous shrimp cocktail. It's beyond TSA so if you're not flying in/out you're SOL on that. They also have another location pretty much next to St. Elmo's downtown.

If you're staying by the airport (i assume west of it) you're in another county and pretty far from downtown and the northside (where the better establishments are).

Mass. Ave., Fountain Square and Broad Ripple Village are some areas that have a concentrated number of restaurants outside of downtown. Yelp can help from there.
