Frank, you'll have to represent Becky & me, as we can't make it to Winterfest. But .... The following was just received:
Attention all Hoosier KCBS BBQ Event Promoters:
This year marks the third tour of the Hoosier BBQ Cup. We hope you will consider being a part of this year’s Hoosier BBQ Cup.
Why would you want to do this?
Well, for starters, it gives teams a reason to attend our BBQ events (beyond whatever prize money and KCBS points they collect on a given weekend for our events) as it puts them “in the hunt” for some additional recognition and prize money at the end of the year. (In addition to our entry fees, I understand that Charles is trying to drum up some sponsorships for this year.)
For this year’s Cup (the 2012 one), we will be presenting an award (and money) at the Winterfest in Madison on Saturday, February (something) in 2013.
Details will be worked out at this year’s Winterfest (February 25th, 2012 at 2:00pm); which, coincidentally, is the deadline for registering for the 2012 season as an event organizer for the 2012 Hoosier BBQ Cup.
For only $500, you can be a part of this year’s Hoosier BBQ Cup, you will get some great coverage in the BullSheet, and with any luck at all, you will more than make up for the expense with a few extra entries for your event, not to mention the extra prestige that being a part of the Hoosier BBQ Cup will bring to your event.
We look forward to seeing you in Madison on February 25th at 2:00 pm at the Riverboat Inn. We will be discussing this year’s Cup events and determining the minimum number of entries that will be needed for a team to get their maximum points.
We hope to see you there (with your check book).
If you cannot attend; but, still wish to participate, please send a check, payable to: Charles Krininger - Re: The Hoosier BBQ Cup. You can mail it to:
