i know a couple of people have told you to use apple juice to rehydrtae your pork. why not when you cook the butts try and save some of the au jus. us a grease sperator to make sure you only have the good stuff and use that. you can either do that by cooking the butts in pans or putting a pan directly under the meat as it is cooking. when the meat is cool enough to pull just add some to the bottom of the pan, pull the meat, turn it a couple of times to coat all and it is done. when you re heat, the added moisture will be there. otherwise, just retain some in a container and add as need when the meat is up to temp. the meat will taste as intended rather than apple juice flavored pork. of course, if apple juice flavored pork is what you are looking for then that method is fine.
