If you look at the cost of cooking two contest today with the travel, meat, entry fees, and all the other insedentals it all seems silly. But if you like to cook, enjoy the challange, enjoy the friendship then the Hogfest in Edenton has a lot of it for you at a price that is cheaper than the contest in Lexington. In addition our total prize package with all of the insidental that Lexington is including is over 24k for the weekend. Smithfield is giving each team pork butts and ribs, if you register for the rib challenge you get more ribs, all free. Those that have been to edenton in the past know what we have to offer and those who come this year will just see more of it. So where is the best value for the weekend? You have to decide that.
The fact that people have come on both fourms saying the same thing trying to discourage cooks from coming to Hogfest is very poor on there part.
