I should have put down 5 or less, but I put down 6-10 because even though I may not use a recipe in total or as a whole I think reading books like this influences how I cook WAY more than I think, or most think. Many, many years ago when I started cooking for my growing family I read the Joy Of Cooking cookbook pretty much cover to cover. Even more than growing up in a restaurant I think this one book affected how well and creatively I cook. I'm far from the best at anything but reading these types of books DO affect how you do things without even being conscious of it sometimes, probably in total far more than 6-10 recipes worth of info. I'll get the book and learn a lot and benefit more than I'll give it credit for.
