This post was forwarded to me by a friend that suggested I tell you a little about our family history with BBQ and the tradition here in our part of South Dakota of Cooking over corncobs. My grandfather and a small group of friends came up with this proccess back in the 30's. Anyone that was spent anytime on the great plains knows that we were not blessed with an abundance of wood choices but we had plenty of corn. There are a few tricks to using cobs as a fuel source but the sweet smoke flavor that it produces is second to none. Check out the link below for more details. Thanks for your interest.
