I have been cooking on 2 FEC100's for 7 years now and only had one ignitor go out and when it did I used a handful of pellets in a metal pan with lighter fluid lit it and then poured it in the pot.
If your having them go out on a regular basis, after finish your cook let it cool off, shop vac out all the ashes, this is all I do. I remember several years ago being told that the ashes pit the ignitor and that is the main cause of them going out. Good luck with your burned out ignitor.
