Last year, I received a call from some BBQ friends of mine saying congratulations on winning a contest in New York. I was confused, so I checked, and someone was using the name Two Little Pigs. I have been a KCBS member since 1999, and I have not had this problem before. I also got sent papers for The Jack and The Royal. What would have happened if we had both shown up? What would happen if we show up at the same contest this year? Sure putting BBQ after that name makes it different in terms, but the term BBQ is implied. We are not Two Little Pigs Tire and Auto Center. Bob and John are names of people. We have like 3 Billion people living in this world. Also, what would happen if someone used a name of a very popular team, say a team that won a bunch of contests or Team of the Year. Would KCBS put their foot down then? I think a team name should be unique not add BBQ or something else like that.
