Hi,
Wow, 6-8 years? I am hard on my equipment, and my first ET-73 is on it's third year, and I feel that I am lucky.
As many times as it has been dropped, fallen in dirt, gotten wet, touched with a greasy, gloved finger etc, I feel that for $60, if I get more than a year or two I am lucky.
Obviously yours is living more of a protected life and good on you that yours has lasted so long.
At even 6 years old, yours has only cost you $10 a year. Do you have anything else that you use in this BBQ habit of ours that only costs $10 a year? Sounds like it is time to retire them and get an ET-732!
:-)
Good Luck,
DanD
