all these remote thermometers have poor life because they are made cheaply overseas there is little quality control. thats the sacrifice for a cheap price and i do not think 50 dollars is cheap but i have a feeling it probably costs 10 dollars to make one of these overesears-there is little to do until someone here makes a quality remote here in the usa.thats just life
