FE-300 is my recommendation also. Now, as to running all night unattended, don't know that I would trust any smoker totally unattended all night. There are ways to alarm the smoker in case electricity goes out, you run out of pellets, the pellets get clogged, etc. You can set an alarm if the temp of the smoker goes below a certain degree or goes above a certain degree. One of those that has that annoying beep. I would also assume that a computer geek could set up something with the controller and have it auto phone you if the temp gets out of your accepted range.
For contests, I have mine plugged into a surge protector normally used for computers. Electricity goes out, I have 15 minutes of battery backup to either get the electricity back on or the generator going. ALso saves the conroller on the smoker from power surges that are normal at contests.
