I have superior also. Saw some rust first couple times. It stopped after several cooks. Don't think I've ever seen mold. Never have I cleaned inside with water. I keep a 4" putty knife and cleaned racks with it. I always start with the top rack. I just tried to get big pieces of fat, meat, etc. I did not try to make it look brand new. I did not use water pan either. So my inside was drier than yours maybe? Call Jobey and ask his advice. He has more knowledge than me. Tim
