I don't recommend power washing the smoker. If you do, you need to heat it up so it will dry out. The mold needs damp and darkness to grow... If you don't wash it then you won't get (much) mold growth. I would screpe it out while the smoker is cooling down thou as left over bits of food will generate some mold.
The other problem with pressure washing is rusting...Again don't put put your smoker up wet. Also if the seams are not fully welded, you may get the insulation wet too.
Now I just screpe the inside and pressure wash the racks outside. Then I heat the smoker up to dry out the racks. Spray them down a bit with some pam/oil spray.
The water won't help out your gaskets...Don't leave them wet!
