Yes, that's one way. Flavor of meatballs doesn't matter as long as it's primarily beef (MOo) and the bacon gives you the oINK from the MOINK.
Another way is to use half sausage and half ground beef mixed and made into meatballs, with or without the bacon.
Rub and sauce are whatever you want them to be.
Good luck with it, and save me a couple.
