Ray--Share a story from 2007. Osage City, KS comp in early April. Snowed some 5-7 inches Friday afternoon and overnight. Cathy and I were hosting the potluck dinner, of which several Forum posters were in attendance. Had a few pans of lasagne, layered but not fully cooked, to finish off in the offset OKJoe that we had at the time. Well, after adult beverages, knocking snow of of the EZ Ups with broom handles and so forth, the foil tops on the lasagna half-pans did not get not fully sealed, so the lasagne ended up "smoked" if you will. Gotta admit, this lasagna was the best I had ever eaten, must have been the apple wood. Much better than the oven at home.
Guess should try again to see if can replicate, but was damn good that night.
I remember Wayne from MoKan brought some soup that was off the chain.
