Well, there are a lot of variables ie. type of cooker, cook temp, how much attention you pay, how many times you open the cooker etc. Cooking at 225 - 250 I would say 1 to 1 1/2 hours a pound. Depends on the above. That being said I wouldn't put it on and just let it go for that time without checking. The picnic is leaner than a whole shoulder or butt so it will cook a little faster. At those temps and times though the fat will render and not be a problem. Post with what you are cooking on and someone on here has for sure done it before and will hopefully chip in.
