I have had my egg for 5 years now and absolutely love it. It will sear a steak at 700 plus degrees and run for 18 hours plus on 3/4 bag of lump and some hickory chunks. Yes it is expensive but it is the last grill/smoker you will ever buy unless you just need huge volume. I did 4 butts weighing in at 37 pounds total pre-cook weight. They passed the judges test, wife and kids. No judges tougher than those, (they make Mr. Mixon look kind).
