I've been BBQing for quite some time now - and I learned most of what I know from this forum. I'm sure most of you don't recognize my moniker - but I've been here since the nineties.
Anyway, I placed an order to Horizon for an accessory for my offset smoker and assumed I would receive it in the advertised "2 - 3 weeks." No such luck, so I emailed them twice to see what was up - no response. I called on the phone and was told "We'll get some next week."
After five weeks I called again to see what is taking so long. I was told the accessory I ordered was "flying out the door as fast as they get them." They said that if I give them my name they'll "make sure the squeeky wheel gets the grease." I gave my name - still no product.
I would be more tolerant if they hadn't charged my credit card immediately for a product they knew wasn't in stock.
BTW - I had told my wife about a 24" BBQ rig Horizon offers on their site as a Christmas present to me - but, no way I'm EVER going to that site again for anything but a laugh.
Someone please tell me they have a had a pleasant experience with Horizon and my money hasn't been tossed in the wind.
