Well, it is a fact that the passing of friends and relatives has a quieting effect on the BBQ Forum. Which I think explains to some extent, the lack of "holy cows" comments. It always is a sad event when these events appear on the forum. However, I know from comments that I have received from people who have lost their loved ones, that they are up to uplifted by the outpouring of condolences.
The same thing happens when people post about their loved ones having health problems and asking people to keep them in their minds. I know that the people who post these comments and then see the many people express their sympathy in prayers, are greatly encouraged. I, like you, would never ever do anything to discourage people, who are going through any of these problems, from posting about them here on the BBQ Forum.
So, always in the past when the forum slows down a bit because of these quieting events, we bounce back. I know that I for one have been watching the forum closely for the last few days waiting for some of these "bounce back" threads. Right now I'd even almost welcome some posts about Prince Harry's escapades in Las Vegas.
