My apologies for not being more specific about my complaint. I have been using fast Eddies by cookshack for years both in competition and in my restaurant with great reults an I have never hesitated to recommend them.I replaced my original 500 with a new one and the first night we cooked on it we had a fie in the unit that went back up th chutes into the hopper and ruined a full load of butts and briskit. When I called cook shack I was told that I had a venting problem. I follow instructions even tho I could not understand why I had a venting problem on nite one with a replacement unit when the original unit had worked perfectly for three years and up to the nite before the change. This exact scenario has repeated its self no less than 6 times with the same insistence that it was the size of the room, not enough make up air ,a clogged vent. the smokestack to tall, the rain sheild not correct ,ect All of this to have them tell us yesterday that the new model had been tweaked(their words) to speed up the auger at startup to supply pellet faster and suggestions on how to babysit the machine to help alleviate the problem until they came up with a permanent fix..thousands of dollars in lost product and countless hours of worry and time trying to find and fix a problem that was a deign flaw and rather than tell the truth at the outset they played these silly games to try and deflect attention and deny responsibility
very disgusted an disappointed
