Cut smoked sausage in 3/4 in lengths. Wrap in half piece of bacon and toothpick it. Should have extra bacon on top. Fill with light brown sugar and let set for an hour. Cook med heat until bacon is done and top with mozzarella cheese. Add rub if you like.
