Teams DO NOT get deals all the time, that is just not true, in fact KCBS as an orgainzation is very much against that behavior. Deals by one organizer make it 100 times harder for good contest. This event was and is a horrible example of how to treat and deal with teams. "Deals" to get top teams to attend a contest are not normal. if an event offers a deal, how can you keep value on the event. Here is one of the big problems for this event. He claims his space is very expensive because he pays a lot to have it at this location. How is it fair to give one team a deal and not all the teams. None of the "Big" name teams are planning on being back either because of many reason but one of them is the deal making, Big name teams find that offensive as do the lesser known teams. Fair is fair, and this organizer was not fair to all the teams that took part in 2012 or the previous years.
I cannot help but notice the only posting by them is a pat on the back, why not hit the problems head on and deal with them, Deaf ears folks, deaf ears, nothing will change for 2013 if he can get sanctioned again (Which I am willing to bet KCBS treats this one just like Myrtle Beach) and makes the orgainzer attend more event to see how they are expected to be operated.
