Well, I got some last November from Candy and use them in my FEPG500 for hamburgers and there is definately a charcoal flavor profile. I would not use them, or recommend them to be used, in competion or in a FEC100 but did not find that much difference in heat output for direct grilling and also doing a reverse seer. They have their place in inventory just like mesquite pellets do, use spareingly for specific flavor components.
