Actually, the big green egg is a clone of the "Original" Kamado made in Japan for thousands of years. The only improvment over thoes is they now make them out of cermic and not clay. Therefore, they are not as fragil. My own kamado is over 50 years old and came from Japan and is the clay version. Just saying.
