It depends on how long it sat before you bought it. 3 weeks is the max for pork so if it was packed before the 4th it's going to smell bad. If it does throw it. Most pork hits the shelves in under a week. Most stores will mark pork for sell by within a week of getting it. Some aren't so careful. Normally I cook pork to 145 but in your case I'd be safe and cook to 165 even if it smells ok.
