As long as the cold chain has not been broken and, as I stated above, the purge is still nice and red it should be just fine. When the purge starts to turn milky or a little brown you time to use it is getting very short. If that is the case I would tell you to rinse real good with water then a little vinegar bath to cut the bacteria.
