If you haven't done one before and are trying first time for Christmas dinner, pray. I'd cook hot 300 at least. Meat probe in the middle and pull at 125 for rare, 133 otherwise. If looking for a BBQ taste use good beef rub and add some cracked black pepper. Don't overlook.let sit for at least 30 minutes.
Next time do a practice run a few weeks before. Good news is its hard to screw up if you keep the seasoning simple, watch the pit temps and don't over cook.
