To about everyone on this forum bbq is cooked on some kind of smoker at a low temp, with smoke and for a long period of time.
I'm guessing, based on your line of questioning, you are calling grilling barbecue.
You should go to the Grilling forum or the Weber Nation site for the input you are looking for.
I also was wondering how anyone could design anything they rarely use.
