I agree. When I practice I am looking to makre sure that my meat comes off the smoker at the time written on my timeline. I also am keeping track of what rack the meat is on because placing it somewhere else can result in longer/shorter cook times. I cook on a Good One Marshall and my meat is places as follows:

Chicken: Cooked on Hasty Bake
Ribs: 3 slabs top rack
Brisket/Pork: 3rd rack
